Apparently there are still some good books being adapted to film. "There's a Hippie on the Highway", a novel by late author James Hadley Chase is being made into a feature film. I don't think Chase books have been popular or even available for quite some time, especially in the United States, but this particular book about an ex-paratrooper, called Harry Mitchell, who gets mixed up with the wrong people in Paradise City could make for a really fun action movie. There are no details about when the film will come out, other than it was optioned by producer called Andy Kleinman and that it will start shooting next spring. I'll keep my eyes open, as will probably other Chase fans, to see who will be directing and acting in the film.
