In times of violence and uncertainty, how do we support children, families, and each other to foster community? Jaiya John was into foster care in New Mexico and later went on to write and acclaimed book about his experience as one of the first African-American children in that state adopted by a white family. Jaiya will share his thoughts on this question and more, helping us to draw on our personal and collective gifts towards building a happier, healthier world. This event is a benefit for Child and Family Services of Northwestern Michigan. A book signing will follow Tickets are on sale now through www.cfsnwmi.org or by calling (231) 946-8975.
